GIVEAWAY: I'll Trade Ya!

Alright, friends! I need your help! As most of you know, Found&Found is a recent creation, and I am going to need some help in figuring out exactly what YOU GUYS want to see! So to really get some feedback out of you, I will make you a deal.

I will give away a free copy of Frank Fontana's Dirty Little Secrets of Design to one randomly selected person! This book is awesome for a number of reasons, but mainly because Frank Fontana hosts HGTV's Design on a Dime, and he spends the entire book not only explaining basic design principles to make your space more wonderful, but how to do several DIY projects for high style and low cost (the F&F founding principle!).

The rules:
1. AT LEAST TEN MUST ENTER. I say this because I have a feeling not many people read this blog, and although I do value and cherish those couple of you who do (Really, I do! A lot!), I really need comments and suggestions to make giving this book away an even trade. That being said, it can be any ten people... so theoretically you could ask your friends and family to enter, and tell them to give the book to you. Voila. I just gave away how to rig the system! As long as their comments/suggestions are valid, I'm completely okay with this!

2. All you have to do is comment with a) what you would like to see on the blog (in terms of posts and discussions, not specific "finds" you want me to list... that will come later) b) any improvements between the twitter feed and the blog that could be made and c) why you like F&F and how you could like it more. Easy peasy!

3. If you visit the Found&Found Page on Facebook (searching "FoundFound" is the easiest way to find it), you can also "like" us and that will count as an extra entry for the giveaway. (This alone, however, does not enter you into the contest. That would defeat the purpose!) :)

I am a little nervous about this, because I risk it being a complete flop and no one commenting... so please don't let that happen to me! :) But, I am just really interested in making this blog exactly what you guys want - so don't be shy, and tell your friends and family to enter, too!

Okay! On your marks... get set... GO!

  4. 1. I don't know how you would execute this, but I think it'd be cool if people could post their ideas on different items about like how they would fix it up..even if they can't/don't buy it. might inspire ideas in others.
    2. I can't comment on the fb page, but I think the blog looks great. maybe make links, etc more obvious :)

  5. I would love to see some really cheap, but nice first apartment furniture! I am about to find my first apartment in the fall, and I just don't have any money to spend! Or how to take old, cheap stuff and DIY on a dime for the recently graduated, but still chic girl!

  7. (This may have to wait until a little later down the road) but I'd love to see a "before and after" section including pictures of furniture people have re-done!! And it wouldn't necessarily need to be just things found on F&F, but just any DIY project that's easy and inspiring!

  11. I love your blog jill its great.

I love the idea of the before and afters it will be really cool to see all those posts come to life.

I bought a table and chairs you posted the other day and have been meaning to post a picture of it. I told the lady how I found her post and she was so happy that someone else liked her table as much as she did.

I see this becoming into something so much more than you imagine its great.
Keep posting Jill we are out here reading and loving it.

  12. a)I would love to read about different project ideas. I love to draw inspiration from what other people do to their furniture. Maybe photos of before and after. That would help me envision how to recreate a piece of furniture.
b)I think it would be cool if you could search for a particular piece on your blog. For example, you could type in "Chair" and it would come up with all of the chairs you have posted.
c)I love it because I am also obssesed with looking up stuff on Craigslist and this narrows down my search some. I found your blog because it came up on my mini feed on facebook.

  14. 1. I also would love to see more DIY projects. I would love to make some decorative stuff for my new apartment!
    2. I don't have a twitter, so I don't have any suggestions there!
    3. I love this blog because I am not terrible at coming up with my own ideas for decorating and you make it so much easier!

    Jill, you are awesome!

  15. 1. This would be hard...but I would love to see a full room makeover with why you chose what you chose, etc. With lots of pieces from CL, like I said it would be hard but SO COOL.

    2. I love sitting down at the end of the day and looking over all the finds to see if I like anything (I've already made one Found&Found purchase!). So no real suggestions there. P.S. looking at the links you put on there for ideas for a piece are GREAT.

    3. The blog is so great because I love doing projects but I am never creative enough to think of things myself...so seeing what someone else is doing is so helpful!

Also, I love Frank Fontana! Haha. Keep up the great work Jill!
